The Housing Pool is an advertisement agency for housing run by the Lund University Student Unions (LUS). The service is managed via our website where you can post ads for housing or tenants.

The Housing Pool does not apply a queuing system and does not charge any fees for our services.

Important information

Beware of fraudsters!
There is currently a fraudster using our web-site. He or she operates from the UK and is contacting people registered for Housing needed. The fraudster apparently also has an accomplice in Nigeria. Do not send any money through Western union to the UK or Nigeria. If a person has an apartment in Lund to let he or she also has a swedish bank account.

Changes:
Starting 2010-07-01 two major changes have been implemented for HOUSING AVAILABLE-ads. Both changes stems from the fact that the website have had several incidents of fraudsters who have stolen money from applicants.

The first change is that all people placing ads must supply their (swedish) social security number. The reason being the administrator has opportunity to restrict access to certain users. The security number is never presented publically and is only stored for security reasons.
The second change is that all ads must be accepted by the administrator before being published in the ads listing. Ads are therefor not posted immediatly, but will be so the next possible work day.

HOUSING NEEDED-ads are not affected.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but unfortunatly the situation has forced us to import these changes.
