BoPoolen is run by the Lund University Student Unions’ Association. Since the 1980’s we have been helping landlords and students to find each through advertisements, as well as giving advice on the housing situation in Lund and surroundings.
Our primary purpose is to help students in Lund with their housing situation. On this website you find housing advertisements, important information about housing in Lund and surroundings, and laws and regulations. We encourage people living in Lund to sublet rooms to Swedish and international students, and we work for a more secure housing situation for the students.
On BoPoolen.nu you can advertise for free if you are looking for accommodation or tenants. You can also find useful links and advice, current laws and regulations and draft lease agreements ready to print.
Advertisement and security
All ads on housing available are previewed and approved before being published for the students’ safety. Ads for housing needed are published immediately without prior examination.
Ads with inappropriate content or unfair contract terms, such as excessively high rent, will not be approved. In this assessment, we consider applicable laws and regulations and what would be regarded as the reasonable rent level in the area. If an ad is not approved, the advertiser will be informed by email and get an opportunity to revise the ad. If we consider it to be necessary, we reserve the right to suspend users from the web page.
To put up an ad for housing available, you must enter a Swedish social security number. This is for security reasons and the social security number will be visible only to the site administrator.
Not sure about what rules apply when renting an apartment? Read the compilation of laws and regulations for a current and accessible view of your rights and obligations as a tenant or a landlord.
We encourage everyone to use the rental agreements provided on BoPoolen.nu. They contain everything that is important to agree on and will help you feel more secure about your tenancy. The contracts are available in both Swedish and English and are ready for you to print and fill out.
